The 2020 UMKC Kansas City Real Estate Symposium will focus on timely educational programs for commercial real estate professionals. These programs will help you to stay current in high impact areas including:

  • Economic conditions and key structural drivers impacting the 2020 economic outlook and how these affect economic growth and interest rates
  • Real estate cycles and outlook for 2020, learning about how US commercial real estate cycles follow US economic cycles, with 3 key metrics that relate to market cycle analysis and income growth
  • Opportunity Zones and how they can encourage long-term investment and job creation in low-income areas of the state by allowing investors to re-invest unrealized capital gains in designated census tracts
  • Smart Cities and the economic and societal effects of Smart Cities initiatives on the environment and learn about successful Smart City programs and projects from around the world that can be adopted by Kansas City in both the private and public sectors
  • In depth updates on trends in our regional office, industrial, multi-family and mixed use/retail markets
